Last updated: 23 June 2026
This notice explains what personal information Anant Dham (operated by Anant Aatm Bodh Jagrati Trust) collects when you register for a stay, event, or donation, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need, use it only for the purposes described below, hold it securely, and never sell it.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

- Data of minors: where a child accompanies a registered seeker, we collect the child's name, age, gender, and relationship to the accompanying adult. Such data is provided and consented to by the parent or lawful guardian.
2. Why We Collect It
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To process and manage your stay or event registration, including availability and approval.

- To generate 80G tax-exemption receipts for donations and seva contributions, as required by law.
- To communicate with you about your registration, schedule, and related updates.
- To protect the safety and wellbeing of our seekers, volunteers, and residents.
3. Photo & Media Consent
By registering, you consent to being photographed and recorded during ashram activities. Such media may be used for the ashram's communications, social media, and promotional purposes. This is described in clause 12 of our Terms & Conditions and forms part of the conditions of participation.
4. Tax Records & Retention
Where we issue a receipt eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act (Trust registration 80G: AACTA5457D 19(37)/Tax-Free/Haridwar/2010-11/0/2452, Dated 02-12-2009), we retain the associated donation and identity records for the period required by the Income Tax Act and related regulations. Other personal data is retained only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law.
5. Third Parties
We share personal data only as necessary to operate our services: payment processing is handled by PayU (for donations and seva contributions), and transactional emails are delivered through our email service provider. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
